3 Special Cakes Day!

On the 26th of November, a very special class was held by Chef Fauziah to teach participants how to make 3 very special and unique cakes.
As usual, the class starts with Chef Fauziah giving everybody an introduction of herself and the agenda for that day.
Without wasting any more time, the chef immediately got started with making the yummy batter for the first cake, with the help of her assistants of course..

Explaining the steps as she prepares the batter.

Once the batter was ready, everybody was able to join in by adding the 7 colours for their rainbow cake.

Participants then put all the colourful batter into the baking pan.

In the oven it goes!

PS: There are pictures of five of the cakes only because the rest was still baking in the oven and was not ready yet. But all of them looked the same (except for the colour of course haha)

Next, they had to put icing on the cake. Now, to make the icing...

Baked!

The cake is then dazzled with croquette flakes and put into the fridge. You can see the final results later at the end of the post. Promise! :)

Moving on, the next cake was already being prepared by the chef.

2 cakes were being made at the same time to..well, save time since both cakes used the same flour mix..

While waiting for it to finish baking, the icing was made.

Ding! goes the oven..

In the next picture, we can see chef adding some essence to the cake. This also prevents the cake from being too dry.

The next few pictures shows how the chef pipes cream on the cake to give the cake a very "special" design when cut later.

Now she covers the cake with a layer of buttercream.

For decoration, chef shows participants how to make the famous "tear drop" effect.

For the 3rd cake, Chef Fauziah first cover the 1st layer with cream..

and on goes the 2nd layer and some melted chocolate and continues with the other layers

She finishes the cake with a common and simple design which only require some leftover melted chocolate and a spoon!

After refrigerating it, the cakes were taken out..these are the final results! *drum rolls*

Would you like to have some Italian Rainbow Cake?

It was successful 3-hour class and everyone went home happy and probably excited to try it out for themselves.

THANK YOU CHEF FAUZIAH
